An unexpected Leader

Nanay Yoli and her grandson sat sadly among the rubble that was once their home in Balic-Balic, waiting for a truck to take them to Trese Martires, far away from their home of so many years.

In the past, Nanay Yoli was involved in illegal activities in Balic-Balic, but when she gave her life to Jesus a few years ago, she allowed God to do a tremendous work in her life. He has given her a new ministry in Trese Martires where she is determined to serve God among the poor. Through God's grace, her ministry has grown and many people have committed their lives to the Lord and have become strong leaders.

In the past 18 months there has been an amazing movement of the Spirit of God in the relocation area of Trese Martires. Nanay Yoli and her friends have opened up 15 Bible studies in as many different homes and have began four new house churches in different blocks. The vision for this Dawn for the Poor team serving in Trese is for one house church in each of the 75 blocks by 2012. This is a great vision, too big for us to imagine, but then again, we have a GREAT God beyond imagination! This movement of His Spirit is in answer to your prayers - so please keep praying!
