OMF History

James Hudson Taylor founded OMF (originally China Inland Mission or CIM) in 1865 to work in China. By 1951, the communists had taken control of the nation. All Christian workers had to leave. Many moved to other Asian countries. Now OMF works alongside the church in ten countries on the Asia Pacific Rim. We also have workers with professional skills in several more.

OMF has been serving in the Philippine Islands for over 50 years.
